Bill related to nuclear and radioactive materials passed

Today’s meeting of the National Assembly unanimously passed the bill designed for safe and peaceful use of nuclear and radioactive materials.

On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Girirajmani Pokharel tabled the proposal seeking passage of the bill. The bill was registered at the Parliament on December 23, 2018.

Similarly, the NA passed the amendment made by the House of Representatives on the ‘Bill designed to amend some Nepal Acts related to Education-2076’ unopposed.

Earlier at the meeting today, Minister Pokharel tabled a proposal seeking consideration on amendment made by HoR on the bill.

Responding to queries raised by lawmakers in course of discussions on the bill, Minister Pokharel informed that the bill was brought to maintain uniformity in different acts related to education.

Likewise, today’s NA meeting also sent ‘Immigration Bill-2076’ at Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussions.

Minister Pokharel on behalf of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa presented the proposal seeking consideration to send it at the Committee for clause-wise discussions.

Approving the proposal unopposed, the meeting sent the proposal at the Legislation Management Committee.
