Minister Bhusal takes feedback from states for developing new plans

Minister for Agriculture Ghanshyam Bhusal has collected feedback from the departmental ministers of all seven states in his attempts to establish coordination and develop the long-term plans needed for the development of agriculture sector in the country.
In a two-day pre-budget coordination meeting starting from Sunday, Minister Bhusal solicited recommendations from the ministers of the states in regard to the government’s upcoming policies and programmes, budget and policy formulation on agriculture sector.
Ministry’s Under Secretary Ganga Dutta Acharya said that the plans on agriculture would be prepared after coordinating with the concerned in an integrated manner adding that problems surfaced in the past for lack of coordination between the federal and state governments in the making of plans.
At the meeting, ministers for land management, agriculture and cooperatives as well as the concerned secretaries from all seven states are invited and they are supposed to present the state government’s plans on agriculture.
