Locals protest against artificial shortage of goods

Locals in different parts have come out on streets to protest against hoarding and black-marketing as artificial shortage is witnessed in the market. The traders are found creating artificial shortage of daily essential goods and consumables in the pretext of coronavirus outbreak threat.

Meanwhile, Ring Road Cleanup Campaign today organized a protest programme at Sitapaila in the capital against the black-marketing. The campaign coordinator Tara Bahadur Kunwar shared that though artificial shortage on supply of edible goods, cooking gas and mask and gloves is hitting the market, the concerned bodies are reluctant to take action against such unscrupulous businessmen.

On the occasion, then Constituent Assembly member SubasThakuri urged the government to take stern action against black marketers. The participants have urged all not to be panicked as coronavirus threat was not seen yet in the country.

On the occasion, Subhechcha International Hospital’s doctors have urged all to maintain personal hygiene to be safe from coronavirus outbreak.
