Minister Tripathi sees no alternative to constitution’s implementation

Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Hridayesh Tripathi has said federalism would be established by the successful implementation of the constitution.

Nepal’s constitution is special, inclusive and unique which was drafted by people’s representatives, so there was no option but to implement it, according to the Minister, who urged all not to worry about the future of federalism. He was speaking at a literary programme organised here today.

On the occasion, sociologist Dr Dambar Chemjong presented a working paper on the topic of ‘role of intellectual community in the implementation of federalism’ claiming that existing federalism was another form of centralised governance system.

On the occasion, leader Tripathi presented a literary award named ‘Badal Bhitrako Gham Nepali Sahitya Puraskar’ to Damodar Pudasaini ‘Kishor’ and Ambikya Aryal jointly for their works ‘Shaharbinako Sahar’, an anthology of poem and ‘Abishrant’, a novel respectively.

The award carries a purse of Rs 111,111. The award is institutionalized by the Shami Literary Academy.
