Man arrested with 6 kg gold

An Indian national was arrested with six kilogrammes of gold from a passenger bus today. A resident of Karnataka, India, Abdul Majix Anikal,42, was arrested at Ratomate in the Hetauda-Birgunj road section at 4:30 am today.

He was found carrying the yellow metal weighing 6 kgs 289.35 grams. It was concealed inside motor spare parts. The gold confiscated is worth Rs 42.7 million, police said.

Abdul has been handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office in Pathlaiya, Bara for necessary action, according to Superintendent of Police Sushil Singh Rathour.
