Rural municipality donates 1.1 million rupees

The Icchyakamana rural municipality has donated Rs. 1.11 million to the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation. The support was provided for the ongoing construction of the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium.

The cheque was handed over at the Mahayagya organised to collect funds for the Stadium. A delegation led by the rural municipality chair Geeta Kumari Gurung, vice-chair Kirti Kumar Shrestha and Chief Administrative Officer Sukdev Lamsal handed over the financial support.

"The support was made as we felt it is also our duty to assist the construction of a prestigious project in our Chitwan district," Chair Gurung said.

Meanwhile, the rural municipality has also formed a committee to collect funds for the construction of the stadium. The 51-member committee is led by the rural municipality chair Gurung.
