Oman defeats Nepal by eight wickets

Oman has defeated Nepal by eight wickets in today’s match under the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2. This is the second time Nepal got defeated by Oman.

Elected to bating first after losing toss, Nepal posted a target of 250 before Oman. Nepal scored 249 runs in 50 overs by losing eight wickets.

In response, Oman made 250 runs in 47.2 overs by losing two wickets. Aqib Ilyas scored 109 runs for Oman for the victory. Kushal Malla and Sushan Bhari of Nepal took one wicket each.

Before this, Captain Gyanendra Malla and Subas Khakurel gathered 48 runs in partnership. Captain Malla made 56 runs with one six and six fours playing 76 balls in the match.

Similarly, Paras Khadka gathered 38 runs in 34 balls while Binod Bhandari scored 35 runs.

Aqib of Oman, who took four wickets and scored 109 runs, was announced player of the match.

With this victory, Oman is in the first position of the league. Out of nine games played so far, Oman has gathered 14 points by winning seven matches.

However, Nepal has gathered two points by winning one match out of three played. Nepal is in the sixth position of the league.
