Private sector to operate Nepalgunj Bus Park

The responsibility for the management of newly-constructed Nepalgunj Bus Park has been handed to private sector.

Spokesperson of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis Pramod Rijal shared that Shivashakti General and Order Suppliers was handed the responsibility for the management of bus park and operation of seven city buses through competitive bidding process.

Company proprietor Santosh KC informed that the Suppliers got the responsibility for the management of Bus Park for five years.

Company’s another proprietor Rakesh Rana said their top priority would be to make the bus park well-managed, beautiful and clean.

"It is a grand opportunity for us to get management responsibility of modern Bus Park of Nepalgunj", he said, adding, "We are very much excited to take up the role and will work diligently to live up to the expectation of the sub-metropolis".

The well-equipped bus park is stretched over four bigha 10 kattha. It was constructed at the cost of Rs 161.6 million. It has the capacity to park 122 large and 56 small vehicles.
