Municipal Assembly endorses 12 Acts

The Besisahar municipality’s 6th municipal assembly has endorsed the amended the budget, legislation, acts and procedures. A total of 12 acts, rules and procedures were approved by the assembly inaugurated by the Mayor Guman Singh Aryal.

The assembly that ended on Saturday passed an amended budget of Rs. 739.8 million, with Rs. 130 million spent so far this fiscal year. The endorsed acts and regulations including the bill to protect local environment and natural resources, infrastructure, good governance, sports, and municipal police, among others.

Likewise, the education act, 2074 (with amendment), public procurement regulations, training organisation and management, women development programme, livestock development, health institution operation procedures were also passed by the assembly.

Deputy Mayor Laxmi Devi Adhikari had tabled the amended budget and the progress report of the past six months.

Chief Administrative Officer Mohan Prasad Marasini presented the financial situation, act and procedures.
