NCP’s party panel discusses about MCC

The three-member taskforce formed by the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to furnish recommendations on the US government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal Compact has begun its assignment.

The NCP had formed the taskforce under the leadership of former prime minister and party senior leader Jhalanath Khanal. Leader Bhim Bahadur Rawal and Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali are the members in the panel.

The first meeting of the taskforce held on Monday discussed about the areas of study on the MCC agreement, Khanal’s secretariat said.

The panel is asked to submit its report to the party within 10 days.
