Payment to consumers’ committees through process: CM Raut

Chief Minister of State-2, Lal Babu Raut, has said the remaining payment to the consumers’ committees would be provided following a due process. Talking to media persons at his office on Friday, CM Raut admitted that several works were carried out in the State, so the committees deserve payment.

In response to a query how the amount pending since last year would be cleared, CM Raut made it clear that they would adopt certain procedure for it. The State is obliged to clear the due amount of some Rs 920 million to more than 500 consumers’ committees.

On a different note, CM Raut said he had not received the resignation letter of Minister for State for Physical Infrastructures Development, Dr Dimpal Jha. The resignation is an internal issue, so it was not targeted against State government, he mentioned. Minister of State Jha had resigned from the post four days back.
