Municipality donates sand for Gautam Buddha Intl Cricket Stadium

The Galchhi rural municipality in Dhading district has provided 100 tippers full of sands worth Rs 3 million for the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium at Rampur in Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan.

The Rs 2.5 billion project is led by the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, a social organisation established by Nepali comedian duo Sitaram Kattel known as ‘Dhurmus’ and Kunjana Ghimire, ‘Suntali’.

Nepal Tipper and Truck Entrepreneur Committee, Kalanki managed the supply, said Raju Adhikari, chair of the rural municipality ward 4.

Likewise, a Dhadhanyanchal Mahayagya is being organised from tomorrow (Sunday) in a bid to collect Rs 500 million to support the project.
