Man arrested for raping daughter

: A man has been arrested on the charge of raping his seven-year-old daughter. The 30-year-old father, a resident of Kankai municipality-1, was arrested by police on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, the man committed the heinous act under the influence of alcohol. The minor had been living with her grandparents, after she was left by her mother a few years ago.

The man was arrested based on a complaint filed against him. He is alleged to have taken away his daughter, sleeping with her grandmother, and sexually assaulted her.

The rapist father is awaiting further action at the Area Police Office in Anarmani, Superintendent of Police Krishna Koirala said.
