I have plans for prosperity of Nawalpur-Dr Koirala

Nepali Congress (NC) general secretary and parliamentarian Dr Shashanka Koirala has said he has developed a new plan for prosperity of the electoral constituency from where he was elected.

Inaugurating the third Gaindakot Festival organized under the aegis of Nawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry today, Koirala said he would take ahead three seminal plans for propelling development dream of the constituency.

He further said his first plan was to construct a sports ground where all types of games can be played "Spurt of sports activities in the district, located in the mid part of the country could substantially contribute to economic prosperity through sports tourism", he claimed.

"I have floated a plan to expand trauma centre of Kathmandu in Nawalpur", he shared, calling for the government to lend support to materialize his plan which is for rendering relief to those injured in the accident.

Koirala also pointed out the need of developing alternative highway up to Triveni through the Narayani corridor.

The festival site has as many as 350 stalls showcasing cultural homes of different ethnic communities as well as indigenous industrial products.

Also speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of Nawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Amrit Bhattachan shared that the Gandaki State government has extended financial support amounting to Rs 200 million to develop Nawalpur as an industrial hub.

Preparation is underway to develop industrial hub by managing 500 bighas land nearby Lokaha rivulet in Kawaswoti municipality from the State government grant, Bhattachan added.
