Labour and employment should be linked up with education: Minister Pokharel

Minister for Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel has said that investments should be made by linking education with labour and employment.

Addressing a management review meeting of Technical Education and Management Training Council at Tikapur of Kailali on Saturday, Minister Pokharel announced that the government was preparing to bring technical education act with the vision to produce skilled human resources.

"The concept of education is skills for all. So that prosperity would be achieved if knowledge and skills obtained from the technical education is translated into practice," he added.

He also shared that the government was planning to run national education professional campaign to determine the quality of technical steam. A framework for this is ongoing, Minister Pokharel said.

Member of the Sudur Paschim State Assembly Dr Rana Bahadur Rawal, Ratan Thapa and others argued the need for technical education stating that that would help make the nation prosperous.
