Cheetah found dead

A leopard was found dead in the open near the Aarwa-based Ratan Pandey School at Pokhara metropolis-13.

The District Forest Office was informed of it by the locals who saw the lifeless body of a male cheetah lying on a graveled road, said journalist Shreeram Sigdel.

The wild animal has wounds on its body and it is believed that it might have been killed in a fight with another leopard. The carcass has been taken to the District Forest Office and findings surrounding the unnatural death of the animal will be known only after post-mortem examinations.
