Decision on MCC soon: NCP Spokesperson Shrestha

Spokesperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said the party would take final decision on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) soon.

The decision to this regard would be made by keeping in centre the nationalism, Spokesperson Shrestha said at a programme organized by Press Organization Myagdi Chapter today.

According to him, at a time when the ruling NCP itself witnessed dispute in terms of passing the MCC from the parliament, the party studies well on national sovereignty and development and makes decision accordingly. The MCC is a mega assistance provided by the US government for Nepal’s roadway and electricity transmission development.

He however said it was not good to delay anymore on MCC decision. Party’s secretariat meeting has been directed to take appropriate decision on it. So, the forthcoming meeting makes final decision, the Spokesperson added.

On a different note, he said even the stalemate on Speaker of the House of Representatives would fizzle out soon. He argued that the present government was investigating the wrongdoings in the country and bringing out facts. Leader Shrestha arrived here in course of the publicity of National Assembly election.
