Princess Astrid of Belgium wishes for success of Nepal Visit Year

Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium has wished for the success of Visit Nepal Year 2020, and prosperity of Nepal. She made this remark at a reception organized by Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali in her honour this evening in the Capital. Princess Astrid is in a weeklong visit to Nepal in her campaign against tuberculosis and leprosy.

Likewise, Minister for Health and Population and Princess Astrid held discussions over the control of tuberculosis and leprosy in Nepal. Foreign Secretary Shankar Das Bairagi and Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population Khagaraj Baral were also present on the occasion.

Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nirmal Raj Kafle shared that the issues of bilateral relations and expanding the areas of cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

Kafle said that such a high-level visit from Belgium to Nepal took place after a long gap and added that this visit would contribute to tourism arrival from European and other countries.

During the reception organized after the meeting, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai and other high ranking officials welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid.

According to MoFA, she is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the President Bidya Devi Bhandari and will have separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokhrel and other ministers.
