Voters can vote with official ID card in NA election

The Election Commission (EC) has provided options for the voters who lost their biometric voter’s identity cards for the National Assembly election.

According to EC, the eligible voters will be allowed to cast their vote showing any official identity card (with photograph) issued from the government bodies.

Joint secretary at the EC Raj Kumar Shrestha, in a press statement today, shared that those who have lost their biometric voters cards may use such ID for the purpose of the election. The NA election to the vacant 18 posts is taking place on January 23.

Silent period of the election is beginning from 12:00 midnight today.
