CM Gurung asks people’s representatives to internalize responsibilities

Chief Minister of Gandaki State Prithvi Subba Gurung has urged the people’s representatives to remain active by internalizing the responsibilities.

Addressing the sixth municipal assembly of Pokhara Metropolitan City on Monday, the Chief Minister argued that the people voted for the current leadership is all three layers of government realizing the need for political stability in the country.

Saying that it was the duty of the people’s representatives to work as per the public mandate, Gurung also expected the constructive role of the opposition for development and prosperity.

On the occasion, Gurung promised to work for the conservation drive of Fewa Lake including the border protection by this year.

Also speaking at the same programme, Mayor of Pokhara Man Bahadur GC shared his ideas to move ahead with long-term vision for the overall development of the tourist city.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Gurung promised to create environment conducive in the state to bring in foreign investment.

At an interaction programme organized by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Gandaki State in Pokhara, Gurung said that the state was ready to create good environment if the Non-Resident Nepalis aspire to invest.

"We are committed to development. Also, we have a scientific idea on how to advance the development. But, it’s been delayed while following procedures," the Chief Minister told the NRNs present at the interaction programme.

While praising the contributions of the NRNs made in social sectors and country’s development, the Chief Minister proposed the NRNs for further partnership in development.
