Fire destroys property worth over Rs 4.8 million
Property worth more than Rs 4.8 million has been destroyed by fire at Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality-3 in Khotang district this morning.
The property was destroyed when a two-storey house of Gopi Katwal of Ramitedanda caught fire due to short circuit.
The fire destroyed six tolas of gold, Rs 200 thousand, crops, utensils and timber, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bamdev Gautam.
Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and locals doused the fire.
