2nd Everest National Taekwondo competition to begin on Thursday

The 2nd edition of Everest National Open Taekwondo Competition is going to be organized in Kathmandu from January 16 to 18.

At a press conference, organizer Everest Taekwondo Association shared a total of 1,200 players from all seven States will vie in the competition to be held at Nepal Taekwondo Academy Hall at Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Event coordinator Sanjeev Phuyal said the players will compete in various categories for 110 gold medals, 110 silver and 220 bronze medals and under different weight categories.

The winner will get Rs 100,000 while the first runner-up Rs 50,000 cash prize and the third prize bears a purse of Rs 25,000.

Similarly, the best female and male player will be awarded Rs 10,000 each. The Association with its head office in the USA will distribute sports materials worth Rs 150,000 to the best and under-privileged dojang in all States of the country.
