Bomb blast at Dhakal’s residence
A bomb was exploded at the residence of Dr Shovakanta Dhakal located at Nagarjun municipality-1 in Kathmandu this evening.
Deputy Inspector General at the Metropolitan Police Office, Bishwo Raj Pokharel, said that Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led group exploded the bomb. However, no human casualty was reported in the incident.
Windowpanes were smashed with the bomb explosion. The residence gate and parked vehicle suffered minor damages, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kathmandu, Hobindra Bogati. Police have reached the incident site for the investigation into the incident. Details of the incident are awaited.
Dhakal is a person implicated in Baluwatar-based Lalita Niwas land scam.
