NC parliamentary party meeting tomorrow

The Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party is meeting tomorrow to discuss the stalling of the House of Representatives’ meeting for long due to the dispute seen in picking the House Speaker.

NC parliamentary party chief whip Bal Krishna Khand said the meeting has been convened to discuss the stalling of the parliament for long due to the dispute seen in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in choosing the Speaker.

"We have called the meeting to hold discussions on the role of the main opposition party to press for convening the parliament meeting at the earliest as the people’s representatives have not been able to voice the people’s voice in parliament due to the adjournment of parliament," he said.

Khand also alleged that the executive, judiciary and the legislature have not become dynamic. The meeting will be held at 1.30pm at the NC parliamentary office in Singha Durbar.
