Health workers reaching out to COVID-19 suspects in Dadheldhura

Amargadhi municipality in Dadheldhura district has deployed health workers to the doorstep of the locals to take stock of the health condition of the foreign returnees in the villages here.

In a bid to observe precaution to help contain the outbreak of COVID-19, the municipality sent the health workers who would examine the health condition of those staying in the self-quarantine. The health workers are also raising awareness about the deadly infection, informed municipality chief of health section, Ganesh Bista. The health workers were also distributing masks to the people here.

The municipality is also spraying disinfectant in the public places in the district headquarters besides coordinating efforts with the locals, police administration and local representatives to strictly enforce the lockdown.

Likewise, Ward no 10 and 11 of Amargadhi municipality which received the highest number of returnees from India have been kept in utmost alertness. ‘Self-quarantine’ is being strictly implemented here that one cannot visit another’s house, informed Amargadhi municipality mayor Bishweshwor Prasad Ojha.

The Armed Police Force (AFP) persons have been mobilized in various bordering points with India.
