Some FNJ central members say FNJ Thursday statement not institutional

A section of the Federation of Nepali Journalists ( FNJ) central members have said that a press statement issued by FNJ general secretary Ramesh Bista on Thursday in regard to the forced removal of the Kathmandupress.com, an online new portal’s content was personal.

FNJ central members Govinda Prasad Chaulagain, Tekraj Thami, Dwarika Kafle, Satendra Jabegu, Shweta Sinha, Chhetu Sherpa, Madhu Shahi, Ram Krishna Gyawai and Krishna Giri in a joint statement today said they were disappointed by the atmosphere created in the aftermath of the Thursday’s statement.

" The removal of the Kathmandupress news content through hacking is condemnable and we strongly believe that guilty deserves action as per the law,” the joint statement reads, adding the FNJ statement issued incorporating unproven subjects was not institutional. " We are always on the front-line to protect a glorious history of the FNJ by preventing any sorts of activities against the freedom of the Press from any-party," the members said in the statement.
