Ex-minister takes initiative to distribute medical support materials

Various medical support materials used in testing and preventing coronavirus were distributed to two health facilities in Sindhupalchowk on Wednesday.

Nepali Congress (NC) central member and former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Mohan Bahadur Basnet took the initiative to arrange coronavirus preventive aids.

Medical aids including sanitizer, soap, face masks, globes and apron were handed over to primary health centre Barhabise and Chhamadevi health post in Barhabise municipality.

Ex-minister Basnet had handed the medical support materials to Dr Sirjana Maharjan of health centre Barhabise. He said the health support materials were arranged with aid from various sides after it was inconvenient for health workers to deliver service in lack of preventive materials.

Meanwhile, police held over 150 individuals from different parts of Sindhupalchowk district for defying lockdown enforced by the government in an effort to mitigate corona menace. DSP Madhav Kafle said police got the violators attend orientation class on rationale of lockdown for 30 minutes and sent to their homes.
