Teachers to be mobilized to raise awareness on COVID-19

The Badhaiyatal rural municipality in Bardiya has decided to mobilize teachers to raise awareness against COVID-19. A recent meeting of the rural municipality took this decision. The teachers would be requested to join a door-to-door campaign spreading awareness against the coronavirus which now poses a global health threat.

Administrative officer at the rural municipality, Arjun Subedi, informed that as teachers’ role could be more effective, they decided to mobilize teachers in the villages. Similarly, the rural municipality has urged the administration to seal the border points to India as a precautionary measure against the viral disease.

All meat shops at Badhaiyatal have been closed down until a further notice.
