Health desk at New Bus Park to check passengers

A health desk has been set up at New Bus Park, Gongabu, in a bid to avoid spread of novel coronavirus.

The health desk was set up with the joint initiatives of Health Service Department, Kathmandu Metropolis-26, and Lhotse Multipurpose Pvt. With this in operation, the passengers have felt relief.

Chairperson of Lhotse Multipurpose Pvt, engineer, Dipak Kunwar, informed that as numerous passengers come and go by the bus park, they could be in risk of coronavirus. Now, they can visit the health desk to know more about Covid-19 and undergo check up for fever and any symptoms if they have, he added.

Similarly, general secretary of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation, Saroj Sitaula, hoped it would be helpful to check the health condition of passengers coming in and going out of the Kathmandu Valley by bus.

More than 1,000 buses leave daily for various districts from New Bus Park. Even drivers, their helpers, and passengers are given free counseling on Covid-19.
