Complaints filed on enforced disappeared persons safe

The complaints filed on the enforced disappeared persons are safe, according to the Commission for Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP).

A press release issued by CIEDP Spokesperson Ishwori Prasad Dhakal on Wednesday mentioned that of the 3,197 complaints filed at CIEDP for investigation, 2,506 complaints are safe for detailed study.

The news published regarding the loss of complaint on disappearance of a journalist from Rolpa, Dhan Bahadur Roka Magar was baseless. It was however sent to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as per the decision of former office-bearers, citing it was under jurisdiction of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, reads the statement.
