All courts to be closed on Thursday to mourn former CJ’s demise

The Supreme Court extended condolences on demise of former chief justice Om Bhakta Shrestha and decided to close all courts on Thursday to mourn on Shrestha’s demise.

Born on Chaitra 30, 1989BS in Dhankuta district, Shrestha passed away on Wednesday. A full meeting of the SC held on Wednesday after Shrestha’s demise took the decision to close all courts and tribunals.

A press release issued by Chief Registrar at SC, Nripdhwoj Niraula, reads that the death of former CJ Shrestha has caused irreperable loss to the country’s law and justice sector.
