Taskforce formed in Banke to respond to COVID-19

A taskforce has been formed in Banke by adopting preparedness against coronavirus spreading across the world.

A meeting of the stakeholders organised by Nepalgunj sub-metropolis here on Tuesday formed the taskforce and management committee under coordination of Chief District Officer Kumar Bahadur Khadka.

The meeting also formed Emergency Fund Management Committee under coordination of Mayor Dr Dhawal Shumsher Rana, Medical Committee under coordination of Chief of Bheri Hospital, Dr Prakash Thapa, and Prevention and Control Committee under coordination of Chief of Health Office, Banke, Dhiraj Shah.

On the occasion, Nepalgunj sub-metropolis and Banke District Coordination Committee provided Rs 3 million each, Kohalpur municipality Rs 2 million, six rural municipalities Rs 1 million each and Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rs 2 million to the emergency fund for the preparedness against COVID-19.
