Minister visits hailstone-hit farmers in Phedikhola

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal on Monday made an onsite visit of Phedikhola Rural Municipality, where the hailstone coupled with rains on Saturday night caused heavy damages occurred on crops and vegetables.

After carrying out the onsite visit at Arukharka and Kudule villages, Minister Aryal urged the farmers not to be upset from the incident.

Saying that the damages caused by rain and hailstone in Phedikhola Rural Municipality has made her sad, she asked the farmers of the areas to move ahead in agriculture sector with a new energy though the farmers suffered a huge loss from natural disaster.

Minister Aryal said, "Don’t be upset from this incident and carry on your occupation again with energy. The state will help you. The government will make arrangements to compensate."

The rain with hailstone on Saturday night has completely damaged the crops and vegetables in Arukharka and Kudule villages.
