Four silver chhatri stolen from historical Bhimsen temple

Valuable properties of the historical Bhimsen Temple based in Dipalaya Silgadhi municiplaity-6, have been stolen.

District Police Office chief SP Dilip Singh Deuba said the robber(s) broke up temple’s door and took away four silver metal chhatri.

Around 80 tola silver-made chhatri worth amounting to million of rupees have been theft from the temple. Govidna Shrestha, a local, said the chhatris offered by revelers to the temple were stolen.

According to the District Police Office Doti, the robber(s) broke the temple’s main gate and meeting hall with the use of iron rod and took away substances.

Investigation into the incident is underway, said Police Inspector Karna Bahadur Bohora.

According to preliminary investigation of the police, the robbery might have been occurred on Saturday night.
