SAARC leaders participating in videoconference on COVID-19 this evening

A videoconference among the heads of the states/ heads of the governments of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries is taking place this evening to discuss a common strategy against the coronavirus.
SAARC member countries’ leaders including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be joining the conference welcoming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suggestion towards that end.
The Indian Prime Minister on March 13 had called for holding the regional videoconference to chalk out a strong strategy to fight the COVID-19. The SAARC leaders will be sitting for the videoconference at 5:00 pm today, according to Prime Minister Oli’s press advisor Surya Thapa.
PM Oli’s health updates
Prime Minister Oli who had returned home on March 13 following his kidney transplant at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) today visited the hospital for follow-up medical check-up. He returned his residence after the follow-up checkup. He had undergone his kidney transplant on March 4.
