Gold price drops noticeably

The price of gold fell by Rs 3,000 per tola (11.66 grammes) in the domestic market today in comparison to the previous day. The drop of this level was not expected.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of pure gold fell to Rs 78,500 per tola today against Rs 81,500 of Thursday. Fluctuations in the international market price have its impact in the national market as well, the Association said.

Similarly, the price of fine silver also fell by Rs 40 and was traded at Rs 820 per tola today.
