Taskforce formed on if mathematics to retain as compulsory subject in grade 11 and 12

The Curriculum Development Centre has formed a task force to study whether to make mathematics compulsory in grade 11 and 12 in science faculty.

The Centre formed the task force as demand to make mathematics compulsory in science faculty was raised.

According to Centre Director Ganesh Prasad Bhattatrai, the task force formed under the chair of Pulchok Engineering Campus Prof Dr Subarna Shakya. The team comprises Ramakanta Pandey and Prakash Khatiwada of Sanothimi Campus, Mathematics subject teacher at the centre Pramila Bakhati and Centre officer Khilanath Dhamala. The taskforce is assigned to submit its report in seven days.
