Lawmakers urge govt to adopt stern actions against black marketeering

The lawmakers speaking at today’s special hour of the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting have drawn attention of the government to take stern action against those involved in black-marketeering amid the threat of coronavirus pneumonia outbreak.
Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Khagaraj Adhikari and Nepali Congress lawmaker Pushpa Bhusal asked the government to come strong against the fraud businesspersons who are promoting black marketeering in cooking gas and other highly essential supplies by causing artificial crisis.
They also demanded that the government should provide foodstuffs and drugs to the public in an easy and accessible manner.
Likewise, Rastriya Janata Party lawmaker Mahendra Raya Yadav stressed to develop a dedicated and official information dissemination system since the threat of Covid-19 has caused uncertainties among the public.
Lawmakers Prem Suwal, Dr Dila Sangraula and Bidhya Bhattarai called for the government prompt actions against the coronavirus pneumonia since the Covid-19 has now become pandemic.
