HoR sends two bills for clause-wise discussions

Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has sent two bills to the respective committees for clause wise discussions.

The Prison Bill 2076 BS tabled by Home Minister Ram Bahadaur Thapa and the Animal Health and Veterinary Service Council Bill 2076 BS tabled by Agriculture Minister Ghanashyam Bhusal were sent to respective committees today.

The meeting has also unanimously endorsed the proposal presented by the Home Minister seeking ratification of the Palermo Protocol under the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organised Crime.

Similarly, bill related to Securities (First Amendment) 2076 BS tabled by Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada seeking consideration for discussions were approved unanimously.

Meanwhile, the meeting has passed a condolence motion on the demise of NC leader and former lawmaker Purna Kumar Sherma. He was elected the member of the Constituent Assembly on a Nepali Congress ticket in 2064 BS. The former Local Development Minister Sherma died at the age of 76 on Wednesday. He was suffering from kidney problem. The HoR will again meet at 1:00pm March 20.
