Two injured in Baitadi jeep accident airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment

Two of the injured persons in a jeep accident in Baitadi district along the Dasharathchanda Highway on Sunday have been airlifted on a helicopter to Nepalgunj for further treatments, said the police.

Harak Singh Badal, 38, and Prem Ballav Joshi, 41, both from Duhu Rural Municipality in Darchula, who sustained serious head injuries, were referred for further treatments by a hospital in Dadeldhura, said Inspector of Nepal Police Dhandev Saud.

A Darchula-bound jeep (Supa 001 Ja 1257) skidded off the road and fell some 250 meters at Panatoli of Patan Municipality-6, killing one and injuring six others. The dead has been identified as the jeep driver, Dhan Singh Badal. He died on the spot.

Of the other injured, Surendra Bam, 23, Hemanti Bam, 20, and Dhanraj Joshi, 41, all of Duhu in Darchula are receiving treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital, and Draupadi Joshi, 22, at a health institution at Patan, said Saud.
