T20 Cricket: Nepal to bowl first

Nepal has been asked to bowl first after losing the toss against host Thailand in the ACC Eastern region men’s Twenty20 cup cricket tournament.

The match is underway at the Terdthai cricket ground in Bangkok, where Thailand decided to bat first after winning the toss.

A total of five nations are competing in the tournament where the two finalists will qualify for the Asia Cup. Nepal must beat Thailand today in order to keep its hope alive for qualification.

So far, Nepal has lost both its games. It lost is first match against Malaysia by 22 runs and against Hong Kong by 43 runs. Nepal now has to defeat Thailand and Singapore with huge margin, and also wait for result from other matches.

Thailand is already out of contention after losing three matches so far. Nepal is just above Thailand.
