PM’s health indicators stable

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s key health indicators are normal following successful kidney transplant today.

Issuing a press release after the completion of kidney transplant surgery here today, the Tribhuvavn University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) informed that Prime Minister’s health was stable and the transplanted kidney had started functioning.

The Prime Minister’s treatment was continued by shifting him to post-surgery transplant ward from operation theater, stated a press release issued by TUTH executive director Prof Dr Prem Krishna Khadga.

A team of doctors including Prof Dr Divyan Singh,, Dr Mahesh Sigdel, Dr Mukunda Kafle and Dr Rabin Nepali are attending prime minister’s treatment.

The health condition of Samikshya Sangraula, who donated her kidney to the Prime Minister, was also said to be normal. A team of doctors consisting of Prof Dr Uttam Kumar Sharma, Prof Dr Prem Gyawali and Prof Dr Ananda Kumar was involved in performing surgery on Sangraula.

Prime Minister Oli was taken to operation theater for kidney transplantation at 10.00 am this morning.

The well-wishers present on the hospital premises had expressed happiness after the successful completion of kidney transplantation on Prime Minister Oli.

Prime Minister Oli was admitted to the hospital for kidney transplantation on March 2. Earlier, Prime Minister Oli’s first kidney transplantation was performed in India in 2007.
