PM to give video message

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is to give a video message before being admitted to the TU Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj for kidney transplant. The Prime Minister will address the nation through a video message this evening, the PM’s chief political advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal said.

Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to undergo kidney transplant on Wednesday. A medical team led by Urologist Dr Prem Raj Gawali will be carrying out the kidney transplant. Also part of the team is the PM’s personal physician Prof Dr Dibya Singh Shah, Dilip Sharma and others.

The Prime Minister will be kept under observation in preparation for the kidney transplant from today, Dr Gyawali said. Necessary tests will also be carried out.

Meanwhile, an angiography of the Prime Minister’s heart showed no complications, Chief of the Manmohan Vascular and Transplant Centre, Cardiologist Dr Arun Sayami said.
