Prachanda praises Bharatmohan’s contributions to nation, communist movement

Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the communists should move ahead by getting inspired from late Bharatmohan Adhikari’s contributions to the communist movement.
At a programme organised by Bharatmohan Memorial Foundation in the capital on Sunday, Prachanda recalled the sacrifices made by Adhikari for the communist movement as well as for unveiling popular programmes during his ministerial responsibilities.
On the occasion, Prachanda praised Adhikari’s decision to provide social security allowances to the senior citizens and called it a friendly gesture of the communists towards the senior citizens. The reactionaries’ false publicity about the senior citizens was quashed by the budget unveiled by Adhikari in his capacity as the finance minister, he added.
The NCP Chairman was of the view that Adhikari’s decision spread a clear message that the communists duly respect the elderly people.
Likewise, Prachanda said that Adhikari made his best efforts to unite the communist parties from the third general convention and shared that Adhikari was the happiest one after the formation of NCP following the unification of the then CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre).
