International Folk Cultural Fair begins in Kathmandu

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun on Saturday attended a cutlraul programme in Nepal Academy and observed the folk dances of the artistes from different countries.

Observing the ’10th International Folk Cultural Fair’ organised by Everest Nepal Culture Group, the Vice President enjoyed the performances of 11 different countries for almost three hours, which the artists clad in their traditional costumes performed.

Prior to this, the Vice President inaugurated the fair where the participants from Estonia, Mexico, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Denmark, Israel, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka and Egypt along with Nepal showed their folk dances.

On the occasion, Chairman of Everest Nepal Culture Group Ram Chandra Koirala said that the event was organised to exchange the folk arts and cultural traditions of Nepal at the international level adding that such event would play vital role in making the Visit Nepal Year 2020 a success.
