The Indian side has been urging the people entering the India through Gaddachauki to mandatorily wear masks as a preventive measure against Covid-19. The Seema Suraksha Bal (SSB), the border security force of India has made it mandatory for people entering and leaving India to wear masks, the Area Police Office Gaddachauki said.

The Indian side has also mobilised a medical team with doctor at the border. "It is learnt the medical team also screens the people if they suspect coronavirus infection," Chief of the Area Police Office Gaddachauki, Narendra Chand, said.

According to him, India has taken stringent measures including the mandatory wearing of masks for people crossing the border since a week for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
