Industrial fair from March 4

The Nepal Cottage and Small Industries Federation, Kavre is hosting the Bagmati state level ‘industrial fair and cottage industry festival 2020’. The event will be held in the Ugreswar Mahadev temple premises in ward no. 7 of Banepa municipality from coming March 4 to 15.

Cottage and Small industries from all the 13 districts in the State will take part in the fair, which is being organized with the objective of promoting local products. It also aims to collect funds for the construction of a ‘koseli ghar’ to exhibit all kinds of cottage and small industrial products, according to chair of the Federation Subasana Shrestha.

The exhibition cum fair will be divided into 70 stalls with products ranging from handicraft to fish to dairy products. ‘Use Nepali products and take pride in being a Nepali’ is the major slogan for the event. The Ministry of Industry and the Cottage and Small Industry Development Fund is providing support to the State-level event.

Interaction among the businesspersons and industrialists and a gathering of women entrepreneurs have also been planned to take part in the sidelines of the event.

More than 80,000 people are expected to visit the fair. According to 2075/76 data, Kavre district alone is home to 7,754 industrialists and entrepreneurs.
