Lawn tennis players off to Indonesia

A team of Nepali lawn tennis players has left here today for Indonesia to participate in the ITF Junior Davies Cup Championship.

The championship is taking place in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia from tomorrow, Saturday. Six players, three female and three male, are representing Nepal in the tournament that will run till February 29.

Those players in the team include Prasiddha Moktan, Nihal Jung Bahadur Thapa, Nischal Kayastha, Sarista Rai, Rayana Shah and Ishashree Shah.

Coach Ishwar Ghale has already left for Jakarta before this. The male players will compete in the Davies Cup and the female players in the Fed Cup of the championship, Nepal Tennis Association’s general secretary Manohar Das Mul said.
