RSS Journalism Award goes to Jha and Adhikari

This year’s the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Journalism Award is to be awarded to senior executive editor Dilip Adhikari and senior reporter Prabhash Chandra Jha.

The award instituted by Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) RSS chapter carries a citation and a purse of Rs 10,000 each.

The FNJ RSS chapter nominated Jha and Adhikari for the award on the recommendation of the award selection committee. The award would be presented amidst a programme on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of RSS, the national news agency, on February 19.

Similarly, the FNJ RSS chapter has decided to confer this year’s the ‘Former Employee Honour’ to RSS’ former editor Dharma Prasad Thapa.

Likewise, Sarjana Karki, RSS’ district reporter for Rukum East, has been nominated winner of the ‘Umakanta-Gitadevi- Chandramani Rajaure Memorial Journalism Award’ this year. FNJ RSS chapter has been presenting this award every year. This award is established by RSS Dang office chief Narayani Rajaure to the memory of her late parents and younger brother. The award carries a purse of Rs 7,500.
