Final decision on Mahara’s case on Monday

The District Court, Kathmandu would continue the hearing against the case of former Speaker of House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is in police custody on the charge of rape attempt, on Monday as it did not conclude for lack of adequate time on Sunday.

Though the hearing was conducted in the single bench of Judge Amar Raj Poudel, it has been set for Monday due to lack of time, said record keeper Ananda Prasad Shrestha. The decision on the case would be made on Monday, he added.

Former Speaker Mahara is at custody of Dillibazaar jail for investigations on the charge of rape attempt of a woman employee at the Parliament Secretariat.
